Call for Registering the International Workshop on Integrated Water Resources Management and Modelling

To Whom It May Concern:

A short international workshop on “integrated water resources management and modelling”, which is organized by Hohai University and operated by College of Hydrology and Water Resources, State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering, and UNESCO-IHP International Hydrology-Water Resources and Environmental Training & Research Center will be held on July 30 to August 4, 2018 at Hohai University, Nanjing. The relevant information is described as follows. Welcome to register and attend the workshop.

    I. Introduction

In the context of global environmental changes, the distribution, demand, and supply of water resources have been largely altered. Risks on water security have been dramatically increased. The physical, societal, ecological, and economic factors among others shall be considered in a systematic way to reach optimized assessment and management of watershed water resources.

Therefore, College of Hydrology and Water Resources, Hohai University and UNESCO-IHP International Hydrology-Water Resources and Environmental Training & Research Center decide to hold this short international workshop. Excellent international experts on integrated evaluation and management of water resources will give lectures on the state-of-the-art theories, progress, and technologies of integrated evaluation and management of water resources. The training will include theoretical study, practice on computer, and case studies. The workshop will help graduate students and young scientific researchers to master the integrated assessment and management of water resources and the corresponding modelling skills.

    III. Trainees and registration

    All domestic and international young scholars and postgraduates involving in researches on hydrology and water resources, environmental engineering, or any related fields can apply.

    How to apply: Please fill in the Registration Form in the annex and email it to peixun@sinowbs.org; pay the registration fee online through http://www.sinowbs.com/peixun. The trainee needs to bring a laptop.

    Registration fee: (ordinary trainee: 4,000 CNY/person, student: 2,500 CNY/person). Food and lodging are excluded (except the suppers on the registration day and course wrap-up day). The workshop service group may assist in reserving hotels.
